Lots of work ahead

I’m so proud to have started this project. Gathering the momentum to take on such a public exploit was really tough for me, a classic introvert, but I’m here now! I got the ball rolling and here are the projects I’m looking forward to sharing here and on YouTube:

my cluttered craft room

The first major project I’ll tackle will be my craft room. It’s a chaotic mess right now. I need to remove a lot of the mismatched particle board furniture, rearrange the layout to be useful, organize all my sewing and craft supplies, and redecorate. I have a LARGE yarn stash (see below) and organizing that will be its own separate project.

Keep an eye on my YouTube channel to see how this first project goes.

and then the big one…

My second project, once I have a cute, tidy craft room to put it in, will be to tackle my mountainous yarn stash. I knew I had a lot but I did not quite expect this much… There is so much to do for this one too; in addition to physically organizing my stash to be useable and aesthetic I want to inventory it as well.

I plan on really digging in to Ravelry and keeping track of my whole stash and my future WIPs and FOs there. No doubt this process will be lengthier even than the organization, but I think it will ultimately be super beneficial to my creative process.

lastly, dealing with UFOs

Ugh, this part’s going to be the worst, I already know it. But I also have a sneaking suspicion that it will feel the best to have completed.

I have SO many UFOs. I’m ashamed, but that’s why I’m doing something about it. There are orphaned craft, sewing, crochet, and knitting projects that I need to deal with. I’ll sit down and decide if they need to be finished or frogged, then get to the hard part: actually finishing ALL of my abandoned creative endeavors.

stay tuned!
